The most difficult form of weight loss happens to be stomach weight loss, and there is very good reason for that. Due human body's need to protect itself, your system is designed to store more fat in the stomach than other areas of the body, especially when you are under a lot of stress. This was a great thing centuries ago when stored fat was absolutely essential during famine, but in today's world of ample food supplies, it simply makes stomach weight loss much harder.

stomach weight loss is so much harder than weight loss from other areas of the body simply because there are more cortisol receptors located in the stomach. Cortisol is a hormone that is released in the body as a response to stress and it is the nemesis of stomach weight loss! The more stress you are under the more cortisol is released, and thus the more fat is stored in your stomach.

These cortisol receptors attract the fat to cells inside the stomach, which continually multiply and grow larger as more fat is collected. Is it getting clearer why stomach weight loss is so difficult for many people?

Many people do endless crunches and other exercises that they believe will lead to stomach weight loss. While these strengthening moves will in fact tone and strengthen the stomach muscles, it will not burn off the fat that covers up those muscles.

The Truth about stomach weight loss

If you want to empty those stomach cells of stored fat and achieve a flat, well toned body core, you have to tackle it from two aspects: fat burning and strengthening.

You do need to do some exercises that will strengthen the muscles in the core of your body, but you also need to do force the body to burn off the stored fat from those stomach fat cells. You cannot force the body to burn fat directly from your stomach, but you can do cardiovascular workouts and create a caloric deficit by eating fewer calories. This will increase fat burn in the body as a whole. This will get the fat burning process going within your body, and sooner or later you will start achieving real stomach weight loss.

The first signs of stomach weight loss are typically a slimmer, softer stomach, but if you continue with strengthening workouts you will eventually see more muscle definition being revealed. The more fat you have stored in your stomach area the longer it may take to see the actual muscles beneath.

The good news here is that most people do start seeing stomach weight loss as one of the first body parts to slim down.
